Description

Count Jean de la Forest d’Armaillé, of his real name, is an atypical painter. This descendant of a famous Breton family of the XIth century (a street of the 17th arrondissement of Paris carries his patronymic) cultivated his art with passion and discretion. Some exhibitions in the 1950s in Toulouse and paintings mostly left in the family. No superfluous effects, but a lot of elegance in a subtle and precise palette. Like those horses that snort in freedom in the marshes of the Camargue. A true painter to rediscover.
